The 10th annual Early Childhood Community Resource Fair will take place Saturday, September 22nd from 9 a.m. – 12:00 pm at Prairie Children Preschool, 780 Shoreline Dr., Aurora, IL. More than 60 community resources will be available to families raising children between the ages of birth through five years old. This free event is co-sponsored by Indian Prairie School District #204 and Naperville Community Unit School District #203, incorporating Naperville and parts of Aurora, Bolingbrook, Lisle, and Plainfield. Also collaborating with the school districts are the following organizations: DuPage Children’s Museum, DuPage County Health Department, DuPage Federation, Loaves & Fishes, YWCA Metropolitan Chicago/Project H.E.L.P., SPARK, and StarNet.

Indian Prairie School District #204, Prairie Children Preschool principal, Ms. Sally Osborne, stated, ”The Early Childhood Resource fair is a great opportunity for families! There will be activities for both parents and children including over 60 community non-for profit vendors presenting information regarding resources in the community. We will have free dental screenings, free books, touch a truck activities, and information regarding developmental screenings. These are resources for children from birth to age 5. We hope that you can join us for this FREE event with your child.’

Children’s activities include:

– Educational, interactive exhibits provided by DuPage Children’s Museum

– ‘Touch a Truck’ vehicles

– Story times (in English and Spanish)

– Musical entertainment

– FREE dental screenings -DuPage County Health Department

– Raffle prizes

– FREE gently used books
